Movie: Lightning Over Water (1980)

Film Synopsis:
Director Nicholas Ray is anxious to complete the final film before his imminent death from cancer. Wim Wenders was working on his own film Hammett (1983) in Hollywood, but flew to New York to help Ray realize his final wish. Rays original intention was to make a fictional film about a dying painter who sails to China to find a cure for his illness.
