Film Synopsis:
Aspiring for an easy job as a private doctor for a wealthy family, Noboru Yasumoto is disappointed when his first posting after medical school takes him to a small state clinic under Doctor Red Beard. Yasumoto was rebellious in many ways, but Redbeard proved a wise and patient teacher. He gradually introduces his pupil to the independent side of the profession, eventually assigning him to care for a prostitute rescued from a local brothel.
