Film Synopsis:
Austrian mountaineer Heinrich Harrer travels to the Himalayas without his family to lead the expedition in 1939. But when World War II breaks out, the arrogant Harrer falls into the hands of allies as prisoners of war. He escaped with fellow prisoners and made his way to Llaso, Tibet, where he met the 14-year-old Dalai Lama, whose friendship ultimately changed his outlook on life.
