Film Synopsis:
19th century Swedish engineer Salomon August Andree sets out to become the first person at the North Pole. The idea was to launch a polar expedition using a hydrogen balloon, together with two friends. The balloon, "The Eagle", took off from Svalbard in 1897, but the three men were not heard from again.
