Film Synopsis:
The film begins after the British victory of the First Opium War and the Confiscation of Hong Kong. Although the island was largely uninhabited and the terrain inhospitable, it had a large harbor that the British government and various trading companies believed would be useful for importing merchandise for trade in mainland China, a highly profitable market.
