Film Synopsis:
In a traditional tribal society in the South Pacific, a young girl, Wawa, falls in love with her grandson, Dain. As inter-tribal warfare escalates, Wawa is unknowingly engaged as part of a peace deal. The young lovers flee, rejecting their arranged fate. They must choose between their hearts and the tribes future, while the villagers must grapple with preserving their traditional culture and adapting it to increasing outside demands for individual freedom.
