Tod Lubitch was born with a deficient immune system. Therefore, he must spend the rest of his life in a completely sterile environment. The rooms are completely sealed against bacteria and viruses, the food is specially prepared, and the only human contact comes in the form of gloved hands. The film follows his life as a teenager.
