Movie: The House on Carroll Street (1988)

Film Synopsis:
Emily Crane is fired after refusing to provide a name to the 1951 House UN-AMERICAN Activities Committee, and takes a part-time job as a friend to an elderly woman. One day his attention was drawn to a noisy argument conducted mostly in German in a neighboring house, all the more so because one of those involved was his chief senatorial prosecutor. Starting to see things, he gradually enlists the help of FBI Officer Cochran who was initially detailed to look into it.
