Movie: The Miser (1980)

Film Synopsis:
Based on Molieres play. Harpagons children, Cleante and his sister Elise, each fell in love but they still had not spoken to their father. Harpagon is a miser who wants to choose the right man and the right woman for his children. When Cleante, finally, tries to talk to the spear, the old man tells the family that he wants to marry Marianne, the young girl whom Cleante loves.
