Movie: The Ninth Configuration (1980)

Film Synopsis:
Colonel Vincent Kane is a military psychiatrist in charge of an Army mental hospital located in a remote castle. Among Kanes many eccentric patients is Captain Billy Cutshaw, a troubled astronaut in the midst of an existential crisis. Although Kanes own understanding of sanity is questionable, he manages to engage Cutshaw in a series of thoughtful conversations about science and faith that profoundly affect both mens lives.
