Film Synopsis:
A young girl trapped in a horrific cycle of family violence finds the strength to build her own future from where she least suspects in this inspiring story of friendship and devotion starring Ossie Davis and Della Reese, and directed by Bruce Pittman. For years Jo Ann Foley (Madeline Zima) has suffered under the cruel hands of her cruel grandfather. However, a chance encounter with friendly neighbor Honey (Reese) and her over-the-top husband (Davis) finds things looking up, as the nurturing couple gives Jo Ann the support she needs to break free from her grandfathers tyrannical clutches. When the future lies before her ready to be molded however she looks fit, Jo Ann must now find the courage to let go of the past and seek the redemption necessary to start living again.
