Film Synopsis:
Hannah Arendt is a portrait of the genius who shook the world with her discovery "The Banality of Evil." After she attended the trial of Nazi Adolf Eichmann in Jerusalem, Arendt dared to write about the Holocaust in terms never heard before. Her work immediately sparked an angry scandal, and Arendt stood strong as she was attacked by friends and foes alike. But as the German-Jewish emigre also struggles to suppress his own painful associations with the past, the film exposes a compelling blend of pride and vulnerability—revealing a soul defined and thwarted by exile.
