Movie: The Trial of Billy Jack (1974)
Film Synopsis:
After Billy Jack is sentenced to four years in prison for "accidental manslaughter" from the first film, the Freedom School expands and thrives under the guidance of Jean Roberts. The existence of the utopian school is characterized by everything from "yoga sports" to muckracking journalism. The diverse student population airs political exposes on their privately owned television stations. Narrow-minded townspeople have different ideas about their brand of liberalism. Billy Jack is released and things heat up for the school. Students were threatened and harassed and Native Americans in neighboring villages were taunted and mistreated. After Billy Jack goes on a vision quest, the governor and the police plan to permanently end their liberal crimes, leaving it to Billy Jack to save the day.
