Film Synopsis:
Adapted from the best-selling Japanese autobiography of the same title, this gently upcoming drama concerns a teenage boy, Boku-Masaya, torn between recklessness inherited from his father Oton and inherited responsibility, wisdom and emotional strength from his mother Okan. After a period of extremely rebellious behavior, Boku learns that his mother has contracted cancer; Suddenly, her mother comes to live with her in Tokyo, the entire emotional landscape of her life is changed.
