Movie: Chess Story (2021)
Film Synopsis:
1938. While Nazi troops marched on Vienna, lawyer Josef Bartok hastily tried to flee to the United States with his wife but was arrested by the Gestapo. Bartok remained steadfast and refused to cooperate with the Gestapo who needed secret information from him. Thrown into solitary confinement, Bartok was psychologically tortured for months and began to weaken. However, when he steals an old book about chess, it sets him on a path to overcome the mental anguish it caused him, to the point of becoming a dangerous obsession.
