Film Synopsis:
A look at Fellinis creative process. In a wide-ranging interview, Fellini talks a little about his background and then discusses how he works and how he creates. Several actors, producers, writers, and production managers spoke about working with Fellini. Archival footage of Fellini and others on set plus clips from his films provide commentary and illustrations for the points the interviewees make. Fellini was entirely responsible; Actors call themselves puppets. He rejected improvisation and called for "availability."
