Film Synopsis:
While recovering in the hospital, war hero Jefferson Jones grows familiar with the "Diary of a Housewife" columns written by Elizabeth Lane. Jeffs nurse arranged with Elizabeths publisher, Alexander Yardley, for Jeff to spend the holidays at Elizabeths Bucolic Connecticut farm with her husband and children. But the column was fake, so Elizabeth and her editor, Dudley Beecham, for fear of losing their jobs, quickly set up a single, childless and completely non-domestic Elizabeth on a country farm.
