Movie: Sommersby (1993)

Film Synopsis:
Set in the South just after the US Civil War, Laurel Sommersby only manages to work on a farm without her husband, believed to have been killed in battle. However, Jack Sommersby wasnt a very pleasant man, so when he suddenly returned, Laurel had mixed emotions. It seems that Jack has changed a lot, leading some to believe that this is not actually Jack but an impostor.
