Film Synopsis:
In Nazi-occupied Paris, a young accompanist named Sophie Vasseur gets a job with the famous singer Irene Brice. As Irenes husband Charles, a businessman who collaborated with the Nazis, grapples with his conscience, Sophie becomes obsessed with Irene, taking on the role of servant as well as companion, living vicariously through Irenes triumphs and affairs.
