Film Synopsis:
TV adaptation of Alexandre Dumas classic novel. Edmond Dantes was wrongly accused by those who were jealous of his good fortune, and sentenced to spend the rest of his life in the notorious island prison, Chateau dF. While imprisoned, he met Abbe Faria, a fellow prisoner who everyone believed was angry. The Abbe tells Edmond about a fantastic treasure hidden on a small island, that only he knows the location. After years in prison, the old Abbe dies, and Edmond escapes disguised as a corpse.
