Film Synopsis:
Valerie, a Czechoslovakian teenager living with her grandmother, develops into a woman, but the transformation proves secondary to the effects she experiences when she wears a pair of earrings magical. Now seeing the world around her in a different way, Valerie must endure her sexual awakening while trying to distinguish reality from fantasy when she encounters Lecherous Gracian priests, vampire-like strangers and otherworldly carnival folk.
