Film Synopsis:
[PART I] Flying over her father Edgar Lintons warning not to cross the estates borders, young Catherine finds her charming, but sickly cousin and male Hareton are the rich, abused children of Heathcliff on the Earnshaw estate. This launches a flashback of how Heathcliff was raised as Cathys best friend by her kind father, Mr. Earnshaw. After his death, the son and heir returns from boarding school, marries, and reduces Heathcliff to the rank of stable boy, enduring constant abuse to remain with Cathy. After a chance meeting with the elegant man Edgar Linton, she falls in love. To Hindleys delight, this drives Heathcliff away. [Part II] Three years later, Heathcliff returns rich enough to buy the land, the day after Cathy marries Edgar. He takes revenge, which instead of satisfaction brings misery to everyone.
