Film Synopsis:
Budapest in the thirties. Restaurateur Laszlo hires pianist Andras to play in his restaurant. Both fall in love with the beautiful waitress Ilona who inspires Andras on his only composition. His Song of Gloomy Sunday was, at first, beloved and then feared, as its melancholic melancholy set off a chain of suicides.
