Movie: The Slave (1962)
Film Synopsis:
Randuss restraint in command of his troops leads Caesar to promote him to Centurion. He was then sent to Egypt, to inform Cesar of the actions and intentions of Co-Triumvir Marcus Licinius Crassus – a man too rich, and ambitious, for Caesars comfort. Randus fateful sea voyage from Egypt to Rome forces him in captivity by a mercenary force, and leads a rebellion with which he gains freedom for himself, and all the other slaves. Through an amulet he received from his deceased mother, a man who had fought on Spartacus side, identified the young man as the son of Spartacus and Varinia.
