Film Synopsis:
Following a long fascination with religion and with a wealth of experience in dealing with eccentric, unpleasant and unpredictable human behavior, the very simple Theroux does not was about to receive an answer when his request to enter the church headquarters was denied. Inspired by the churchs use of filmmaking techniques, and aided by former members of the organization, Theroux used actors to replay several incidents people claimed they experienced as members in an effort to better understand how it operated.
